Servo Mounts for RC Aircraft and Glider Servos
Servo mounts and frames are used to hold a servo securely in position inside an RC aircraft, glider wing or fuselage. A well-matched mount helps keep the servo body stable, which is important for clean linkage movement and reliable control response in the air.
Some mounts are designed to be glued into the model, while others may attach using mounting screws or prepared fixing points. The right option depends on the servo, the available space and how the model is built.
For example, a low-profile glider wing installation may need a different frame from a general fuselage-mounted servo. This is why we always recommend checking the exact servo model and frame dimensions before you buy.
Choosing the Right Servo Mount
The best servo mount is the one designed to accommodate your servo properly. Even small differences in servo case size, output position or mounting lugs can affect how easily the frame fits.
Before ordering, check:
- The exact servo brand and model number
- The frame dimensions
- The mounting points
- Whether screws are supplied or required separately
- Whether the frame needs to be glued or screwed in place
- The available space in the wing or fuselage
- Whether the mount is sold as a single frame or pair
If you are not sure, send us the servo model and aircraft details. We can help you test the fit on paper before you order, which can save time and avoid the wrong product being bought.
MKS, Futaba and Graupner Servo Frame Options
We stock servo frames and mounts for a range of popular RC servo options, including MKS, Futaba and Graupner models. These frames are designed to make installation cleaner and more secure, especially where space is tight or accurate control movement matters.
Compatibility is important. A mount designed for one servo may not fit another, even if the servos look similar at first glance. Before buying, check the product description against your servo model and the space available in your aircraft, or contact us if you need help identifying which servo mount best fits your needs.
Servo Frames for Wing and Glider Installations
Wing and glider servo installations often leave little room for error. The mount needs to fit the servo neatly, allow the linkage to move freely and avoid putting strain on the control surface.
A correctly chosen frame can make the servo easier to position and service later. This can be useful when repairing, upgrading or servicing a model, especially if you need to remove a servo without damaging the surrounding structure.
For gliders and other performance-focused aircraft, check the servo depth, arm clearance and linkage position before fitting the frame. The aim is simple: secure mounting, clean movement and reliable control.
What to Check Before You Order
Before you order servo frames, take a few minutes to check the details. This is a low cost part compared with many RC electronics, but choosing the wrong frame can still cause unnecessary work.
You will usually need to confirm the servo model, frame style, quantity required and how the mount will attach to the aircraft. If the frame is designed to be glued in place, make sure the surface is prepared properly and the servo can still be accessed if needed.
You may also need other accessories to complete the installation, such as links, rods and fittings, PowerBox servo extensions or other rc equipment.
Delivery for Servo Frames and RC Accessories

Need Help Matching a Servo Frame?
If you are comparing servo mounts for a glider, wing servo or RC aircraft setup, start with the exact servo model and the space available in the model. You may also want to view our MKS servos, servo accessories, links, rods and fittings, PowerBox servo extensions or Jeti Duplex sensors.
If you are unsure which product is right, contact us before you buy. Send us your servo model, aircraft type and any useful measurements, and we will help you choose the best product for your needs.
FAQs
What is an RC servo frame used for?
An RC servo frame or servo mount is used to hold a servo securely inside a model aircraft, glider wing or fuselage. It gives the servo a defined mounting position and can make the installation cleaner. The correct frame depends on the servo model, aircraft type and available space.
How do I know which servo frame fits my servo?
Check the exact servo brand, model number and dimensions before ordering. Servo frames are often designed for specific models, so a frame for one servo may not fit another. If you are not sure, contact us before you buy and we will help where we can.
Are mounting screws supplied with servo frames?
This depends on the product. Some frames may include mounting screws, while others may require separate fixings or be designed to be glued into the model. Please check the individual product details before ordering.
Can servo frames be glued into a wing?
Some servo frames are designed to be glued into a wing or fuselage, depending on the product and aircraft setup. Always follow the model instructions and make sure the frame is positioned correctly before the adhesive sets. If access for future servicing is important, plan the installation before gluing.
Are wing servo mounts different from standard servo mounts?
Yes, wing servo mounts are often designed to fit tighter spaces and low-profile installations. They are commonly used in gliders and performance model aircraft where clean linkage movement and accurate control matter. Always check the mount style before ordering.
What else might I need with a servo frame?
You may also need rods, links, fittings, servo arms, extension leads or other accessories, depending on your setup. It is worth checking the full installation before you order so you have everything required to complete the job.
Can we help you choose the right servo mount?
Yes. Send us the servo model, aircraft type and any available measurements or photos. We can help you check the likely fit and point you towards the most suitable servo mounts from our current stock.
